She Didn't Know...
That morning when she said goodbye
And that infamous tear ran from her lonely eye
As she years for her husband to stay by her side
She Didn't Know...
That her present instantly became her past
And the memories are the only things to last
To cast the pain away from her current path
She Didn't Know...
That the moment that she let him go
To provide for a family as only he'd know
And to spread joy as Jehovah instructed so
To a woeful world so the blessings may grow
She Didn't Know...
That the next knock on the door would be
News of a wretched tragedy
Which inflicted immediate misery
To those who knew him personally
She Didn't Know...
That though her support system surrounds her like doves
Looking for dry land after "The Flood"
Ranging from the Heavenly Father from above
To an earthly family exuding nothing but love
She Didn't Know...
That the two most important men in her life
Are sheltered by love, protected from strife
Leaning on what they know is right
Infuses their altruism to get through the night
She Didn't Know...
That despite all the negative things
That this occurrence seemed to bring
There still remains reason to sing
Praises to the Almighty King
She Knows...
