#29: Alexandria's Baffling Burlesque

Out from the snow
And into the lights
When she stepped in the club
The mission ignites

Walking around
Hoping to see
A vision in sight
That would make her glee

They entertain her
As she pays them no mind
Eventually leaving
For the married man's time

He buys her a drink
As her cheeks are burning
Can't wait to get him out
Because her stomach is churning

They exchange numbers
As the club closes
He kisses her bye
Now her cheeks are roses

The next day she calls
Requesting time to chill
She knows it's wrong
But she loves the thrill

He gives her the run around
As she debates
If he's really worth it
And the perilous stakes

He decides to tell her
As his heart is in flux
To meet him at 6
Up the street at Starbucks

She meets him there
While enjoying the meal
She asks about his wife
And what's the deal?

He begans to talk
But his phone rings
He has to leave
So he gathers his things

She's hating the waiting
Her mind begins to roam
As he's pulling off
She's following him home

When she arrives at his house
There is a crack in the door
As she goes inside
She is very unsure

She sneaks down the halls
And sees someone she recalls
It is her best friend
