Eyes awaken as hours count down
To the time when I'm blessed to see you
Your smile always deems the day worth wild
But when you're sad, the day turns to blue
Your childlike banter creates a mood
That I, myself, happen to enjoy
And though you may possess signs of coy
I understand what you're going through
Respectable, you certainly are
Despite your age and temperment
To others you are necessary
But to me, you are effervescent
Never thought I'd praise your company
When I first encountered you that day
Later that night, I went home to pray
To thank Him for sending you to me
Dedication in art you deserve
Because you go above and beyond
No one can replace what you have built
And to me, I am just simply fond
So, thank you for everything you've done
And everything you plan to do
Much success in all your endeavors
But with yourself, please, always stay true

#45: A Mind's Rhyme
And then there were 4.....
Reasons why I do what I do
Baffling to those who don't have a clue
Wondering why their emotions have succumb to
Up and down phases like an addict who withdrew
And then there were 3.....
Ways in which you need to fall back
Understanding your role like a washed up quarterback
Before I unleash a treacherous attack
Against you and your crew...feminine like some lilacs
And then there were 2....
Entities that I respect
Never gave up...never did neglect
Only chastised to make me correct
Instilling in me commendable aspects
And then there was 1...
Person who endured it all
From the many successes to a couple of the falls
Grinding all day until the night calls
But not done because of the blessing's windfall
And then..there was him....
Reasons why I do what I do
Baffling to those who don't have a clue
Wondering why their emotions have succumb to
Up and down phases like an addict who withdrew
And then there were 3.....
Ways in which you need to fall back

#44: His Classicism....
What makes thee beautiful?
Is it thy voluptuous lips
Or perfectly formed physique?
Or is it thine long flowing hair
That makes me..O, so, weak?
Thou beauty surpasses all the above
By one lone distinct aspect
No other can compare to
Thine intelligence, that is quite perfect
Thy voice demands concentration
Thy walk commands to be enthralled
And thine aura adds to the beauty
But thine mentality confirms it all
Is it thy voluptuous lips
Or perfectly formed physique?
Or is it thine long flowing hair
That makes me..O, so, weak?
Thou beauty surpasses all the above
By one lone distinct aspect
No other can compare to
Thine intelligence, that is quite perfect
Thy voice demands concentration
Thy walk commands to be enthralled
And thine aura adds to the beauty
But thine mentality confirms it all

#43: An Ode's Full Circle
O, what a young naive love we share
One that is innocent and still fresh
To the world together we must dare
To jog the minds of pure love, refreshed
Not of momentary happiness
Or conditional satisfaction
But of something bestowed by Venus
On Mars, for vigorous reaction
Though this may be of love untested
A fantasy voyage says the lust
But by the Heavens, this love sculpted
And in that do we sincerely trust
One that is innocent and still fresh
To the world together we must dare
To jog the minds of pure love, refreshed
Not of momentary happiness
Or conditional satisfaction
But of something bestowed by Venus
On Mars, for vigorous reaction
Though this may be of love untested
A fantasy voyage says the lust
But by the Heavens, this love sculpted
And in that do we sincerely trust

#42: The Meditation of Idyll
Cool water eases my very soul
While laying in the fields of pleasure
I am often taken by spring's hold
Wisked away to delightful's treasure
The sustaining air breathes life anew
In this new found land of choice and hope
To a being in need of a clue
To increase his short, limited scope
These plains bring nothing but timeless joy
During moments where it truly lacks
I retreat to this place to deploy
All of the unwarranted setbacks....
While laying in the fields of pleasure
I am often taken by spring's hold
Wisked away to delightful's treasure
The sustaining air breathes life anew
In this new found land of choice and hope

#41: Blank Verse's Intentions
Beg for mercy, yes you shall...we all do
Time and time again because nature says
Forgiveness takes the heart as a thief's mind
During a night's quest over gold's fortune
Promoting kindness and thoughts of own sin
Understanding of transgressions shall reap
As a griot in Earth's bosom of man
Helps to heal and close spacious holes in souls
Influencing the outlook humans have
Choose wisely your path before you leap out
For doing so may show you your being
Time and time again because nature says
Forgiveness takes the heart as a thief's mind
During a night's quest over gold's fortune
Promoting kindness and thoughts of own sin
Understanding of transgressions shall reap
As a griot in Earth's bosom of man
Helps to heal and close spacious holes in souls

#40: An English Pindaric Ode
That pain wasn't like anything before
He would experience something much more
Thinking that they were more than just friends
The limb he stepped on would be his end
Sleeping at his house, she thought it was pure
But as she hung around, he was not sure
When morning arrived, he walked through the door
To see her in his clothes, with food to lure
He is taken by surprise, not sure what to think
She tells him when he's done, put the stuff in the sink
The next day comes as she prepares to leave
She hugs him bye and he starts to perceive
He calls her on the phone to thank her for the time
She tells him, "Your welcome, don't worry, anytime"
He begins to wonder why she was so loving
So he thinks there is something that she's cover'n
On the phone, he states that he never felt this way
She professes, "Then babe say what you have to say"
He says, "Ok. I will...I love you"
She says, "Yeah, I know. I love you too"
He says, "I love you more than just a friend, boo"
She says, "Sorry, but like that, I don't love you"
He would experience something much more
Thinking that they were more than just friends
The limb he stepped on would be his end
Sleeping at his house, she thought it was pure
But as she hung around, he was not sure
When morning arrived, he walked through the door
To see her in his clothes, with food to lure

#38: Villanelle's Mercy
"Shhh...no one must know"
As he whispers in her ear
"It's a secret..don't let it go"
As he is showing no sorrow
For making her innocence disappear
"Shhh...no one must know"
He threatens her not to show
Her mother her crying tears
"It's a secret...don't let it go"
As he becomes her ultimate foe
Originating her "men" fears
"Shhh...no one must know"
Incest nicknamed her bedfellow
On the floor, her blood smears
"It's a secret...don't let it go"
Her body, he would borrow
As she cries for help to appear
"Shhh...no one must know"
"It's a secret...don't let it go"
As he whispers in her ear
"It's a secret..don't let it go"
As he is showing no sorrow
For making her innocence disappear
"Shhh...no one must know"
He threatens her not to show

#37: Acrostic, Meet Name.....
Please be advised that this requires
An inordinate amount of humbleness
That will allow you to grow as a person
In some of the most challenging times
Even though you feel it may be hard to sustain
Not possessing this trait cause unnecessary stress
Courage is a necessity because without it
Every unfortunate situation will be magnified
An inordinate amount of humbleness
That will allow you to grow as a person
In some of the most challenging times
Even though you feel it may be hard to sustain
Not possessing this trait cause unnecessary stress
Courage is a necessity because without it
Every unfortunate situation will be magnified

#36: Van's Free (Curse) Verse
Those haters.....
What can you say about them?
How about that they're like a disease
Crippling people to their knees
Forcing them to shout "Oh please
Stop the torture and pain....."
Or are they more of a robust obstacle
Getting in the way
Each and every day
Trying to make a way
To force good to go away
From every aspect of you....
So.....
Are you strong enough
To keep being tough
When it gets rough
As in a trough?
Good question right?
Those haters.....
They pray on the weak minded
You must be wise
To avoid lies
In great disguise
Wanting your prize(s)
But they are like money
You really need more
To truly ensure
The status that you're
Currently in....
Because
The more haters there are
Means your a rising star
That's going very far
Soon needing a memoir
To dedicate your success to
Those haters......
What can you say about them?
How about that they're like a disease
Crippling people to their knees
Forcing them to shout "Oh please
Stop the torture and pain....."

#35: Her Romanticism.....
HA! The Great Ejetta,
How seductively wretched thy ways
Yet gorgeously attractive thine looks
The men, they stop to praise
But not I, for I am not hooked
My intelligence is far too superior
And my strength far too mighty
To fall for beauty so blindly
As the others who are inferior
Thou deceives with a sensual smile
And insinuates with an honest touch
But once they've been beguiled
They use thee as a crutch
Becoming victims of lackluster
These fools have rejected themselves
To be with an insidious lover
Who's taken their core, leaving their shells
I shall not be as the rest
Whom left their partner alone
I have no need to embark on a lustful quest
Because my perfect lady is at home
How seductively wretched thy ways
Yet gorgeously attractive thine looks
The men, they stop to praise
But not I, for I am not hooked
My intelligence is far too superior
And my strength far too mighty
To fall for beauty so blindly
As the others who are inferior
Thou deceives with a sensual smile
And insinuates with an honest touch
But once they've been beguiled
They use thee as a crutch
Becoming victims of lackluster
These fools have rejected themselves

#34: The Deniable Irregular Ode
Heavy is my heart, as if death came 'round
And solemn is my soul which has no hope
My amazement has lost all its astound
Because that trusted tongue declares no scope
No direction or praise is rewarded
As often as it was use to before
My inspiration has been divorced me
Leaving my beloved canvass contorted
And my paintbrush to not paint anymore
Causing mine clear eyes to opaquely see
Once instilled with fervent motivation
As an au courant crusade under Christ
My pen needs severe verification
Because my light has succumb to a heist
Dimly lit, the weak candle tries to burn
Within my delicate tender spirit
It survives only by earnest thinking
In which it is adamantly returned
By minds in whom never did it orbit
But amongst stars in which it was resting
Once the wind against my wearying back
During the most humid, tiring days
There was no comforting excusive slack
Given as an outlet to stray away
Staying the rugged course was the lone route
Provided under this autonomy
No other options were eligible
To obtain rank in this prestigous clout
Which allowed me to produce so aptly
But without it, my work just seems banal
Where am I to look for direction now?
The standards that were set, cannot be matched
Reduced, I have become to simply sough
Remininscing on memories attached
Wishing that the source didn't disappear
Suddenly stupefying as it did
Which leaves me with no emotion but shock
Shock without a skillful pilot to steer
This lost soul who is sitting here amid
Thoughts of how to escape this writer's bloc
And solemn is my soul which has no hope
My amazement has lost all its astound
Because that trusted tongue declares no scope
No direction or praise is rewarded

#33: The Ambition of Canzone
Those who have issues with company hear
And to myself shall I adhere advice
It is not of the topic's concise
But more of the subject's chosen venue
Therein lies no problem with candidness
But with regard to personal matters
All of which happen not to flatter
There has to be a strict line that debuts
If not, then ill feelings will soon ensue
As they are in this current date and time
With my life, your judgment needs not to chime
In.....unless I determine that it's due
So, those in this exact situation
State your views to improve your relations
And to myself shall I adhere advice

#32: Cliff's Shape
I've completed many goals with success, I stress
Battle tested, coming out the best
But the struggle's far from over
From fulfillment, I must sober
To continue to push ambition
Sticking with the set mission
That I have developed in my youth
For me, that is the truth
The truth of non limitation
Pursuing desegregation
Between the mind, body and soul
Of persons who have gone cold
And numb to socio-economic woes
So, until these tasks are done
With success, I have not won.
Battle tested, coming out the best
But the struggle's far from over
From fulfillment, I must sober
To continue to push ambition
Sticking with the set mission
That I have developed in my youth
For me, that is the truth
The truth of non limitation
Pursuing desegregation
Between the mind, body and soul

And numb to socio-economic woes

#31: Sonnet's Envisage
Resting in my bed gently
I am awakened by the sound
Of lout soldiers in an army
Terrorizing the town
Beating victims maliciously
And setting homes ablaze
These cowards have awfully
Put mass torture on display
O, my abhorred dismay
I cannot fathom this brutality
I must begin to pray
Before this becomes my reality,
"O, God, today I bid my sins farewell
Because there's NO WAY that I can take Hell!"
I am awakened by the sound
Of lout soldiers in an army
Terrorizing the town
Beating victims maliciously
And setting homes ablaze
These cowards have awfully
Put mass torture on display
O, my abhorred dismay
I cannot fathom this brutality
I must begin to pray
Before this becomes my reality,

#30: The Traditional Lyric
My Oh My
(What have we done)
My Oh My
(What have we done)
My Oh My
(Look what we’ve done)
My Oh My
(Look what we've done)
As I open the door
And walk the street
I can’t help what I see
And what’s looking at me
Unfortunate fame
From poverty
Causes much pain
It’s like death to me
The children are crying
It’s a sick disease
These doctors are lying
Someone help them please
To save the world
We start with ourselves
Look around you to see
Who needs some help
-Repeats 4x-
The animals’ home
There are no more
Just streets and mansions
No one can afford
The icecaps melting
The heat is intense
We must stop polluting
Or there’s no existence
So seek your neighbor
Tell your family and friends
Let’s band together
So there will be no end
To save the world
We start with ourselves
Look around you to see
Who needs some help
-Fades out-
(What have we done)
My Oh My

#29: Alexandria's Baffling Burlesque
Out from the snow
And into the lights
When she stepped in the club
The mission ignites
Walking around
Hoping to see
A vision in sight
That would make her glee
They entertain her
As she pays them no mind
Eventually leaving
For the married man's time
He buys her a drink
As her cheeks are burning
Can't wait to get him out
Because her stomach is churning
They exchange numbers
As the club closes
He kisses her bye
Now her cheeks are roses
The next day she calls
Requesting time to chill
She knows it's wrong
But she loves the thrill
He gives her the run around
As she debates
If he's really worth it
And the perilous stakes
He decides to tell her
As his heart is in flux
To meet him at 6
Up the street at Starbucks
She meets him there
While enjoying the meal
She asks about his wife
And what's the deal?
He begans to talk
But his phone rings
He has to leave
So he gathers his things
She's hating the waiting
Her mind begins to roam
As he's pulling off
She's following him home
When she arrives at his house
There is a crack in the door
As she goes inside
She is very unsure
She sneaks down the halls
And sees someone she recalls
It is her best friend

#28: Ghazal's Purpose
Never think that it can't happen to you
That's the reason why it happens to you
As an impoverish man living on the street
If you aren't wise, that can also be you
A naive woman dates a married man
Don't condemn because that can be you
The mentally retarded cannot tie his shoe
In 50 years, that can happen to you
A billionaire has money to share
With the right dreams, that can be you
Ma ismik wa Kayfa hal?
With enough lessons, speaking this will be you
No one really wants to hang around you
If only you were friendly, then they would flock to you
Need assistance on choosing a poem?
Then ask Will and he will tell you
That's the reason why it happens to you
As an impoverish man living on the street
If you aren't wise, that can also be you
A naive woman dates a married man
Don't condemn because that can be you
The mentally retarded cannot tie his shoe

#27: Summer's Black List
Oh wow, it's raining
You just left me here hanging
Trying to reason by explaining
How and why it happened that way
I really do want you to stay
But you turned your back and walked away
Because you believed him and not I
When I had a perfect alibi
Now, I'm here stuck asking why
The tables have turned on me
As fast as it did, we were happy
Now he picked you up and I'm lonely
Making this by far my worst tragedy.
You just left me here hanging
Trying to reason by explaining
How and why it happened that way
I really do want you to stay
But you turned your back and walked away
Because you believed him and not I
When I had a perfect alibi
Now, I'm here stuck asking why

#26: To The Honor Goes Epithalamium
For the stars have aligned
On this date and time
For the pair of you to become
Officially united as one
You sir, take her hand
And vow to lead as the man
Fulfilling all that's necessary
To ensure that she doesn't worry
Will promote positive reaction
To increase sustained satisfaction
You madam, please declare
That you and he must share
A bond that is commendable
In God's eyes, unbreakable
In man's view, unshakable
To any opposing force
That tries to knock you off course
So, those who are in support stand
To help me praise this woman and man
As they come together to be
Forever in holy matrimony
On this date and time
For the pair of you to become
Officially united as one
You sir, take her hand
And vow to lead as the man
Fulfilling all that's necessary
To ensure that she doesn't worry
Will promote positive reaction

#25: The Faith of Rondeau
Hold on to faith, for it's not done
The doubts you have, we've all had some
As a lost boat in midnight's blue
His guiding light will lead you through
Trust and believe
During the times when you choose to run
He'll be there, urging you to come
But there is one thing you must do:
Hold on to faith
If it's the strength that you have none
And hopes and dreams you have shunned
There is a being that stays true
If you adhere, He will imbue
So stand tall; He has just begun
Hold on to faith
The doubts you have, we've all had some
As a lost boat in midnight's blue
His guiding light will lead you through
Trust and believe
During the times when you choose to run
He'll be there, urging you to come
But there is one thing you must do:
Hold on to faith
If it's the strength that you have none
And hopes and dreams you have shunned

#24: Petrarchan's Prayer
O, horrible world of mine
Each day there is pain
For which I cannot regain
Strength to continue life's time
So, I shall end it here
But will my soul be at peace
No longer battling this beast
Forcing all my issues to disappear?
Or will it be worse than before
Causing me to scream
How I wish this was a dream
That I can awaken from to ignore?
Ah, this decision is too heavy to bear!
God, please, show me which choice to declare.
Each day there is pain
For which I cannot regain
Strength to continue life's time
So, I shall end it here
But will my soul be at peace
No longer battling this beast
Forcing all my issues to disappear?
Or will it be worse than before
Causing me to scream
How I wish this was a dream
That I can awaken from to ignore?
Ah, this decision is too heavy to bear!
God, please, show me which choice to declare.

#23: An Italian Sonnet
Do I really love thee?
How would I know?
Would my heart tell me so
Or would my mind let it be?
With speech, there is no impair
And flesh, no dripping water
Future warrants no horror
Convenants do not scare
Thou has received attention
Idleness is tantamount
Thoughts have gained retention
From expectations that are surmount
And despite opaque vision
Love has registered its account
How would I know?
Would my heart tell me so
Or would my mind let it be?
With speech, there is no impair
And flesh, no dripping water
Future warrants no horror
Convenants do not scare
Thou has received attention
Idleness is tantamount
Thoughts have gained retention
From expectations that are surmount
And despite opaque vision
Love has registered its account

#22: Rhyme Royal's Enlightenment
People shouting loudly
As I walk through the crowd
Directing where I should be
And what wouldn't be allowed
But my ears have become shroud
My mind is not convinced
My body starts to wince
At their passionate hatred
And their persistent nature
Have they realized they've jaded
Those to whom I cater:
Friends who read the papers
And kin who watch the news
Tempting to change their views
About me and what's mine
They try to serve tainted food
To which they have declined
But I shall not be rude
I'll let their fame accrued
Sadly at my expense
Which is making no sense
I give blessings to people
They give heartache and pain
But to be just so frivol
Is freakishly insane
And needlessly inhumane
But I now understand
It's just the ways of man
As I walk through the crowd
Directing where I should be
And what wouldn't be allowed
But my ears have become shroud
My mind is not convinced
My body starts to wince
At their passionate hatred
And their persistent nature
Have they realized they've jaded

#21: Kismet's Ballade
Barbershop clippers buzzing in the back
As the clients wait for a chair
In walks the siren as she attracts
All of the moaning and stares
While her aura causes others to swear
She throws them a couple of bones
But one seemed to have that instant flare
(Hindsight) She should've just him left alone
Wining and dining occurs shortly after
As the two get to know each other
He's starting to retire his bachelor
As she begins to become his lone lover
Days later, she's acting like his mother
Treating him as if he's not grown
He's treating her as if he doesn't love her
(Hindsight) She should've just left him alone
A year later, they are still together
The relationship has hit a quagmire
Thoughts say the ties should've been severed
Because she shows no more desire
And his feelings are simply unknown
With her love, she has misfired
(Hindsight) She should've just left him alone
Her demanor is seemingly acrid
And her nature she no longer condones
Because of the reverse that happened
(Hindsight) She should've just left him alone
As the clients wait for a chair
In walks the siren as she attracts
All of the moaning and stares
While her aura causes others to swear
She throws them a couple of bones
But one seemed to have that instant flare
(Hindsight) She should've just him left alone

#20: The First Letters of the Acrostic
Tears overwhelm when thinking of times
Help and assistance was at the drop of a dime
And thinking of days when sunshine was bleak
Never did they stray as I became weak
Keeping the faith and knowing the truth
Forced separation from my uncouth
Until the days have sought an end
Long lives this piece to cherish family and friends
Help and assistance was at the drop of a dime
And thinking of days when sunshine was bleak
Never did they stray as I became weak
Keeping the faith and knowing the truth
Forced separation from my uncouth
Until the days have sought an end
Long lives this piece to cherish family and friends

#19: The Friendly Shakespearean
I'd never thought the day
When mine eyes would view
Such an enticing mirage miles away
That auspiciously came true
As water blesseth the earth
During the gravest of droughts
Thou has awaketh my mirth
That I'd so long gone without
In the past, they've hurt me
Left me blind and all alone
But with thee, now I can see
And no longer without a home
My love for thee is stronger than ever before
For thee and only thee, do I truly adore
When mine eyes would view
Such an enticing mirage miles away
That auspiciously came true
As water blesseth the earth
During the gravest of droughts
Thou has awaketh my mirth
That I'd so long gone without
In the past, they've hurt me
Left me blind and all alone
But with thee, now I can see
And no longer without a home
My love for thee is stronger than ever before
For thee and only thee, do I truly adore

#18: The Insane Quatrain
Casually eased into the house
While no eyes were awake
Nonchalant regarding rouse
As long as he could take
Sudden noises invokes fear
To those who aren't aware
Instantly causing tears
From her long bereaved glare
He goes to her threatening to kill
As she stares him in the eye
Her calmness makes him eerily ill
So he says that she must die
She lunges bravely at him
As they wrestle to the ground
Back and forth breaking limbs
Until a gunshot has sound
The father hops out the bed
To see what the noise could be
He sees the body and his daughter says,
"He shouldn't have threatened me".

#17: The Distinction of ABC
Solitary as usual
Tears the soul
Underneath the mask
Vicariousness sold
Within a crowd, he stands alone....
